How to Measure for Harnesses

Look for flexible material if a measuring tape isn’t available.
Find a common item in your home and put it next to a ruler for sizing. Maybe a string, yarn or a piece of scrap fabric.
It needs to bend so you can use it to measure the size of your pet’s neck and girth (belly/chest) size.
Neck:
Measure the circumference of the neck, not too tight, not to loose.
The collar or harness will close to that size stated. Most often it is when closed to the center hole.
Girth/Chest:
Measure around your dog’s rib cage approximately 2” behind where the front leg ends
DO NOT add excessive space with the 2 finger rule some people use. We all have different finger sizes.
